Leadership Team

Kristel Turansky

Executive Director

Kristel Turansky brings a unique blend of compassion, strategic vision, and hands-on leadership to Baltimore Relief Network. With a background in federal contracting and project management at NIH, Kristel is no stranger to navigating complex systems to get things done for Baltimore’s communities.

Her journey includes leading teams in public, private, and nonprofit spaces, and managing everything from volunteer engagement to complex negotiations, while always putting people first.

Kristel holds a Master’s in Human Services and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

When Kristel isn’t at the office, she’s probably plotting the next charity 5K, cheering at her kids’ sporting event, or just enjoying a good cup of coffee on a Maryland morning with her husband and their dogs.

Her mission? To help everyone in Baltimore “run towards something good” - together.
